Like it or not, now that halloween is over the countdown to Christmas has officially began. Instead of the usual manic rush we all have, we’re going to give you everything you need to be prepared this year!
Make a master list – At this point you should create a list of all the people you’re getting cards and gifts for. This is when we also collect all addresses and write a list of what gifts might be bought for loved ones… this makes shopping a lot easier and avoids impulse buys. Which leads us onto our next point.
Create a budget – Everyone’s budget will be different, so decide how much you can afford to spend this year. This will keep you organised and will ensure you don’t overspend.
Start Christmas shopping – Beat the crowds by starting your shopping now. It may seem a little early but you’ll have peace of mind knowing you’ve done all of your shopping whilst everyone else will be drowning in the Oxford Street madness. Many stores have discounts and deals at this point so take advantage! Look online too as they also have good discounts.
Tip: It’s a great idea to get all wrapping paper, Christmas cards and anything else you need at this point. Let’s face it, we love the fact you’d always have the best selection!
Start addressing Christmas cards – It’s best to get this done in November for a few reasons. It’s one less thing to do in December and if you’ve forgotten anyone, you still have time to send them.

Mail cards – Mail your cards now as it’ll insure missing the 2 week christmas rush and that it gets to your friends and family on time.

Decorate the house – Pull out all the your decorations and have fun with it! There are no rules to this, some people use the same decorations as last year… some buy all new ones… some have a colour theme! honestly the possibilities are endless. Whatever you do, it’s a great activity to do with your family or friends and it undoubtedly helps one get into that christmas spirit.

Make sure all gifts are wrapped – By this time you would have all the gifts you bought and ordered. Wrapping can be tedious (especially if you’re not so gifted at it, heh ~ there’s definitely an art to it!). If this is the case, make a night of it by watching a christmas film with a glass of wine. Sounds perfect now doesn’t it?
Last minute bits and bobs – Now’s the time to order any last bits and bobs you may have missed before the last delivery cut off point. If you thought of everything beforehand, then now’s the time to put your feet up and relax.
You’re welcome. 😉
